Striper action remained slow this past week despite a 17 pound striper that was landed this past Tuesday. Trout continue to be stocked, the weather is still cool, yet the striper seem to be hard to find. The few that have come in are being caught in deep waters for the most part, more being caught by bait than lure. Trout action remains strong, best spot for shore fishing is still ramp #2, however by boat the trout have been hot in the East End this past week. Powerbait and worms still the best, but those fishing by boat in the East End have reported success off of kastmasters and spinner baits. The most improvement in bite was the Largemouth Bass as those looking for them found them hungry and striking hard. East End and South Shore have been the best. They are mostly fishing drop shot dark plastics for the bass. some scattered reports of cats and bluegills, but not much more to say about them.
