Stripers are still boiling in some areas of the lake but less frequently that the past few weeks. Shad imitations are great baits for the largies and the stripers. Flukes Berkeley minnows and spooks are still working on the stripers. If you can net shad its pretty much a guaranteed catch. The shad can still be found around the marinas and in most of the coves. The bigger Shad are a little deeper but some shad are around 4 to 5 inches are being netted around Sharrons Rest and Mooring Cove. The largies are hanging out around the points and mouths of the coves from a depth of 5 feet to 30 feet. The stripers have been hanging around Government Cove and all over the ski arm and have been coming up boiling but most hanging out around 40 to 80 feet.
The Buoy line and Necktie Cyn have been great spots for catfish lately. The lagoon is still producing a lot of fish at night and during the morning hours. Plastics and shad imitations have been working great for the largies. Nightcrawlers have been slaying the catfish and wax worms are still bringing in loads of little pan fish.
