Captain Ron called in with this report for the Point Loma, "I was out on my halibut run today, went went freelancing today. I fished down below it just wasn't very good the water was cold and dirty, so I fished up off the point today we had excellent bottom fishing. I fished shallow water we caught some nice browns, some grass rockfish, cabazons, gopher cod, china cod, sugar cod we got a lot of fish there. Then I went down and fished some halibut this afternoon because I've been catching some in the afternoon. We got 2 nice ones.

"The boat leaves at 7:00 AM, the price is $66.00. It is going to be good there are still fish around. I've been catching them everyday and in April and May when the fish spawn it will be game on. It is a big area of fish it is about a 7 to 8 mile line of fish. and a phenomenal day there are some really big ones this year.

Capt Ron called in with this update, "we had 2 legal halibut, one fish was about 25 lbs. We had 4 shorts, a few handfuls of Sculpin, Rockfish, Sand Bass a few Reds. Captain Ron called in with this report from te Point Loma. "I've started my halibut run and it has been pretty good fishing. Today we had 9 fish, the largest was 28 lbs. we had a lot of nice ones.
