The Striper action has been the best at Lake Skinner followed by Laremouth Bass

The water level is down slightly, the water temperature is in the low 60's, the full moon is on; so the fish are feeding all night.
Stripers are biting in the early morning on top water lures such as Zara Spooks. When daybreak comes the small amount of boils stop. Stripers then only bite on live shad from Lake Skinner. The shad all bunch up on the east side, use umbrella rigs with plastics. Most of the stripers have been reported to hang out in the middle of the lake or at the Inlet.
Trout limits are being caught mostly from the shoreline. Anglers have been using jigs, rooster tails (changing colors often), Thompson Lures, Kastmaster, super dupers, white grubs and good old nightcrawlers on a bobber.
The largemouth bass that have been caught have ranged in size from 2 to 3 lbs. They have been attracted to roboworms, drop shot and even live shad. The best action for the bass have been in the coves.
Small Catfish and Bluegills are still being caught in deep waters using worms.
The next trout plant will be on December 7, 2012.
