we moved up the line a little and set up a drift for the night.We woke up this morning with fish around the boat but apparantly they ate well during the night as nothing we did could get a bite. We then started driving looking for kelps and a repeat of yesterday. We had some success in the morning with our yellowtails and dorado but we could not locate the tuna fish that we had seen yesterday. So to sum up the last two days we had ! solid yellowtail and dorado fishing with some real good fun catching the school sized tuna. We are leaving these grounds to try to get in a little different kind of fishing. We will let you know how it works out.

Yesterday morning we awoke to glass water and fog. We dropped the jigs in at daylight and in no time spotted our first kelp of the day. As we circled it, WHAM, our first jig strike. That kelp produced a handful of yellowtail and a couple of dorado. That was a lot of fun so we decided to do it again. Today we scoured the ocean for the elusive long finned albacore tuna. Much to our dismay there is little to report except for that the weather is beautiful and we are looking forward to a delicious prime rib dinner. We did managed however, to put one angler on his first albacore and he partook in the long standing tradition of eating the albacore's heart which is always fairly entertaining to say the least.
