Catfish once again took main stage this week as the kitties were coming in from shore as well as by boat. Most of the shore fishermen reported stocker size cats up to 3 pounds, while most of the bigger catfish seem to be coming in by boat near the dam and inlet. Mackerel and chicken liver still the best for catfish. Striper still remain strong, but they are biting best during the morning hours. Dam and inlet the best for them using chicken liver and anchovies. Try trolling swimbaits and rattle traps for them as the day wears on. Bluegill have been the biggest improvement as fishermen report up to 30 good size gills in one trip. Bite is best by boat along the South shore and from the shore Ramp #2 area is your best bet. Bite seems to be best in the afternoon. Don\'t forget to ask the store about the Catfish Tournament that runs all month long. Good Luck Fishermen!
